Your role

<aside> 🧠 Clarity is seeking a highly driven intern with experience in low-level Android development to help us explore optimization possibilities for our proprietary VR-based hardware. Your project will investigate how we can use game development softwares to deliver optimal therapeutic solutions that require extremely high visual precision.

What you will do

• Hands-On Hardware Engineering: Investigate VR hardware specifications to prototype a modified version of Android tailored to our needs.
• Rapid Prototyping and OS Optimization: Generate proof-of-concept strategies to optimize, improve, and measure the performance of Android VR OS.
• Development: Add features to the base version of Android.
• Cross-Disciplinary and International Collaboration: Work closely with professionals from various disciplines and 7 nationalities, leveraging your computer science expertise to support the team and enhance product development.

Who you are

Technical Requirements:

• Strong skills in Android development (Java / Kotlin / Android NDK).
• Experience with or contributions to AOSP (Android Open Source Project). Ability to compile a system, modify, and add features to an OS based on hardware requirements.
• Knowledge of Linux and kernel operations.
• Experience in low-level development to interact with and modify the OS layers and hardware interactions. Proficiency in C/C++ is necessary.
• Ability to investigate optimization methods of an existing system and customize it to our needs.
